New
release of PremVet5 brings latest software features to veterinary
business
A
major step forward in integrating Unix and Windows computer
systems in practice management software has been announced
at the BSAVA Congress today (5 April) with the introduction
of a new version of PremVet5.
Developed
by Vet solutions, this novel innovation delivers the combined
benefits of greater versatility provided by Windows with the
speed and stability of the Unix operating system. PremVet5
is the first veterinary management software package to provide
this level of integration to the profession.
With
the need for batch traceability of medicines prescribed to
farm animals, the latest PremVet5 release now supports all
the major wholesalers’ 1D and 2D barcode systems. This new
feature is integrated with existing reports to allow a complete
traceability audit to be carried out at the press of a button.
Further
advantages also include less hassle of checking in stock and
quicker dispensing at point of sale.
"These
improvements have introduced PremVet5 users to a new generation
of software systems," says head of Vet solutions Julian
Bryan. "They can now access and print any Windows document,
including spreadsheets and graphics, directly from the PremVet5
menu.
"The
enhanced barcode facility will improve stock control and provide
more accurate records. Vet solutions is also able to supply
scanners ready configured to use with PremVet5."
The
company has also added to its support and service quality
with the release of a new support
manual for PremVet5 users. Available online, CD or paper,
the manual has been written to give users extra snippets and
notes on preparing recalls and setting up management reports.
PremVet5
is being demonstrated at the BSAVA Congress and current users
will receive the updated version of the software and the new
manual.
