Vet solutions deliver safe and secure email and internet access
Software management company Vet solutions has addressed
the concerns of the majority of veterinary practices
in that they have developed
a new service to provide internet and email communication with
safety and security of the system being at the forefront of
their objectives.
The recently launched service, Enserv allows all practice PCs
to access the internet and receive email with the added imperative
confidence of in-built security mechanisms.
“
Widespread access to the internet would be beneficial to most
veterinary practices, rather than relying on access through one
single computer, and with the increasing availability of Broadband
many practices are reviewing present access policies.” says
Vet solutions’ Julian Bryan. “But there are very
real concerns about security.”
The developers of the Company have used highly reliable
security technology to the EnServe service, for
example there are two
levels of firewall to protect against ‘hackers’ and
all inbound and outbound emails and files are scanned with
anti-virus software.
EnServ
also has options for customers to control the access to
specified sites and filter spam to control ‘junk’ emails.
The firewall can be configured to prevent access at both
an individual log on level and at a PC level.
EnServ allows provides the huge benefit of enabling branches
to connect to their main server or synchronise their data
across the internet, considerably reducing data
communication costs.
The combination of secure and faster internet access makes
many online information resources far more valuable to the
veterinary
practice.
