Relocation for Vet solutions
Veterinary practice management systems company Vet solutions
are now supporting over 650 practices throughout the UK and
Ireland. As the number of customers which they support has
increased it has become apparent that they have outgrown
their existing Edinburgh based premises.
Julian
Bryan, Chief executive of the Company says, “Recent
years have witnessed a steady increase in the amount of clients
which we support and hence a required increase in staffing
levels for ourselves. Along with the vast level of stock
which we need to accommodate, it is unfortunate but we found
that we were being restricted by our position in the previous
premises.”
He
continues, “Just as any veterinary
practice would prepare a move, we were required to strategically
plan the
move for a number of months prior to it actually taking place
in March 2005. Great detail and incredible attention was
required to ensure that the very minimum disruption was experienced
by our clients.”
“Our
ever reliable engineering team were given the responsibility
of cabling the new office
which is part of
a renovated paper mill, complete with old chimney stack.
The actual move day itself thankfully went smoothly and our
support team were up and running in a very commendable 5
hours!”
“We attribute this minimal downtime to careful pre
move project planning with all the major service providers.
We also engaged the services of a surveyor who was charged
with delivering us a new office ready on the right day! This
allowed everyone to play to their strengths – the technical
staff dealt with the technical details; the surveyor dealt
with building issues, leaving the support staff to focus
on customers.
“The
new premises are already allowing for us to be far more
streamlined in our office
functions. We have much
more space for preparing and configuring new equipment as
well as areas for storage of spares. All of our staff members
and clients should soon be able to reap the benefits that
the new office can provide.”
