Vet solutions
adds to portfolio through aquisition of IT systems
Specialist practice management software company, Vet solutions,
has acquired IT Systems. Both companies are well - established
in supplying software management systems to veterinary
practices nationwide.
Surrey-based IT Systems was established by James Seddon
12 years ago and has been innovative in its development of
its management systems, initially vetpos and latterly Clinical
Assistant.
“The
company now needs to take advantage of the latest technology
and support techniques,” says Mr Seddon. “As
part of Vet solutions, it will reap the benefit of their
substantial investment in training and support services,
and enjoy some economies of scale in development projects.”
Vet solutions is one of the largest providers of practice
management systems in the UK, already supporting over 520
practices using either Premvet5 or Robovet3 systems.
“We pride ourselves on delivering top quality support
to users of our products through our administration centre
in Edinburgh,” says chief executive of Vet solutions
Julian Bryan. “We will extend this level of support
to users of Vetpos and Clinical Assistant, and we will employ
the expertise of IT Systems’ Chris Carr who has more
than 11 years’ experience in the company’s two
products.”
Other
than using a different support line telephone number, veterinary
practices using IT Systems
software will experience
very little change in the short term. “Longer term,
both the Vet solutions’ and IT Systems’ portfolios
stand to benefit. We will make our unique support and training
services available to all product users, “adds Mr Bryan.
“At
the same time, the portfolio of products will benefit from
the technical expertise of
James Seddon who
will continue to work for the company and specialise in the
development work for at least the next two years.”
James
Seddon and Julian Bryan will be on the Vet solutions stand
at the BSAVA Congress on 1-4 April at the BSAVA Congress,
Birmingham.
